Our clients’ brief was to transform their Edwardian home into a comfortable modern family home with all of the amenities they need to stay fit and enjoy the outdoors. With two active boys and a love of swimming, exercise and entertaining, their newly renovated home, new gym and pool provide a private sanctuary for their family year ‘round.
There are exceptional features throughout this home, from the stunning curved Corian benchtop, spotted gum joinery finishes and polished concrete floors in the new open plan kitchen / living / dining area, the Living Tumble Brass bathroom fixtures & fittings, the secret doorway between the boys’ bedrooms, the fully equipped gym with a Scandanavian style Sauna and bathroom, to the fully tiled heated pool complete with a FastLane Pool system and outdoor shower.
Perhaps the most striking external feature is the beautiful timber cladding on the new garage / gym building. The Iron Bark timber was treated with the innovative SiOO wood protection coating, ensuring quick and consistent greying off of the timber and giving a lovely relaxed coastal feel.
