Renovation & Extension, Brighton
This project started as an extension to an attractive Federation Home in Brighton, opening up the back of the house with an expansive open plan kitchen, dining and family area and a new entertaining deck designed for easy inside/outdoor living. The extension also involved a new laundry, shower room, powder room and walk-in pantry, transforming the house into a functional and comfortable family home.
The most striking aspect of the extension is the abundance of natural light and sense of space created by the full height glass sliding door leading to the deck and the raised window panels beneath the new mono-pitched roof.
As the project progressed, the scope of the works grew to include the renovation of the existing areas of the home to match the high level of finish in the extension. This is where our problem solving skills came to the fore as we diagnosed and resolved a long standing issue with rising damp (which wasn’t rising damp at all but poorly installed ducted heating).
The photos below show the ‘before’ and ‘after’ transformation of the property. Also, you can read the client’s feedback on us and our work here.
